Kununurra
Kununurra is the main town of the East Kimberley, with an airport, supermarkets and most scenic flight departures to the Bungle Bungles. Choose from motels, caravan parks along Lily Creek Lagoon and resorts with pools.
Lake Argyle
About 70 km from Kununurra, Discovery Resorts – Lake Argyle is the only accommodation at the lake. Cabins start from around $293 per night, and its famous infinity pool overlooks the water (non-guests can buy a day pass for about $10).

- The dry season (May–September) is busy — book early.
- Kununurra is the end point of many Gibb River Road tours from Broome.
